Director Spike Jonze Talks About ‘Where the Wild Things Are’
At least it sounds like the director was coming from the right place. “We wrote it from the point of view of trying to make a movie that feels like what it’s like to be nine years old, so we didn’t really over think it,” explained Jonze. “We sort of wrote our first couple drafts very intuitively, tried to sort of write it from the stream of conscious place that kids make stuff from.
