Offering up their take on the best in music over the past twelve months, MTV has debuted their rundown of the Top 25 songs from 2011. Perched atop the pack is the chart-topping “Rolling In the Deep” from Adele while the single “Vomit” from Girls nabbed runner-up honors with Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N—as in Paris” taking third.

MTV Announces Ryan Dunn Memorial Special
Back in June, Ryan Dunn was killed in a car crash, and later this month MTV will air a special to celebrate his life. According to a report, the one-hour program about the “Jackass” star will air on Monday, November 28th at 10:30pm. The show will look into Ryan’s life, with input from Johnny Knoxville, Rob Dyrdek, Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Jeff Tremaine, and Bam Margera
Justin Bieber Closes Out the 2011 MTV EMAs
Not letting his baby drama get in the way of his scheduled performance, Justin Bieber took the stage at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards in Belfast on Sunday (November 6). The 17-year-old sensation received a stirring ovation from the Odyssey Arena crowd as he treated audience members and viewers at home to “Mistletoe” from his newly released Christmas album “Under the Mistletoe” along with his hit single “Never Say Never”. Along with his stage efforts, Justin was nominated in three categories at the 2011 MTV EMAs, of which he ended up taking home two trophies for Best Male and Best Pop Act

The first round of nominees for this year’s MTV European Music Awards have just been released and, to no surprise, fan favorite Lady Gaga leads the pack with an impressive six nods. Earning well-deserved recognition in some of the show’s biggest categories, the Mother Monster is up for top honors in Best Live, Best Pop and Best Female, Best Song and Biggest Fans categories. Following close behind, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars nabbed four bids each while Adele, Justin Bieber and Thirty Seconds To Mars round out the frontrunners, scoring three nominations a piece.
"The Hunger Games" VMA Preview: Watch Now!
Offering up a very first look at the much-awaited movie, a preview from “The Hunger Games” made its debut at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (August 28). With the clip being introduced by leading lady Jennifer Lawrence , the footage shows her Katniss character racing through a forest backdrop while shooting an arrow that transforms into the film’s signature logo. Also starring Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks, “The Hunger Games” tells the story of “a young girl who volunteers to take her sister’s place in a fight to the death in a dystopian future.” Directed by Gary Ross, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on March 23, 2012

Gushing over her newly-appointed gig, the “Paparazzi” songstress told MTV, “I’m really very honored and excited to open the show. But I won’t reveal anything; I want it to be a surprise.” Adding to the intrigue, the pop phenomenon teased that Sunday’s performance will be everything her fans could dream of, as she explained, “It will be a continuation of everything I’ve been doing, and it will be exactly what they want.
Selena Gomez Dreams Out Loud in Philadelphia
Closing out the week with a promotional appearance, Selena Gomez stepped out to boost interest in her “Dream Out Loud” collection at Kmart in Philadelphia on Friday (August 19). Tweeting about the meet and greet prior to the event, the 19-year-old wrote, “Heading to the KMart on market street in Philly hope to see you all there.” In related news, Miss Gomez has been chosen as the celebrity host of the pre-show black carpet at next weekend’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
