Topping the list of honorees at the Starz sponsored event were Hollywood Actor of the Year winner George Clooney , who showed up alongside new girlfriend Stacy Keibler , as well as Hollywood Actress of the Year selection Michelle Williams , with the “My Week with Marilyn star telling the audience upon acceptance, “All that Marilyn Monroe ever really wanted was to be taken seriously as an actress. She never got the recognition she craved.”

The third offering in the horror genre film raked in a powerful $26.2 million on Friday followed by $18.2 million on Saturday while expected to garner a franchise best $55 million opening weekend total. Settling for runner-up position after spending two weeks in the pole position was Hugh Jackman’s “Real Steel” - with the DreamWorks/Disney picture conjuring up $3 million on Friday and another $4.9 million on Saturday to pace towards a weekend take of $10.9 million.

Among the many classic remakes to be hitting theaters these days, Paramount Pictures has just released the first full length trailer for “Footloose”. Taking the same plotline as the 1984 original dance-heavy picture, “Footloose” is about “a city boy names Ren MacCormack who moves to the small town of Bomont to discover that the local reverend has banned loud music and public dancing.” With Kenny Wormald taking the lead role of MacCormack, the film also stars Dennis Quaid as Reverend Shaw Moore and Julianne Hough as Moore’s daughter. With director Kenny Ortega dropping out of production, “Footloose” is directed by Craig Brewer with a release date set for October 14, 2011.
